In the present day, supernatural creatures have revealed their existance and struggle for acceptance. Supernaturals from all over the world flock to the UK for the basic rights and freedoms all should be allowed. As a result, the British countries have become forerunners in adjusting to a world where creatures of myth live like anybody else, with much of Europe slowly attempting to follow in their footsteps.
SO AS YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED, the skin has changed! Thank for guys for all your prompt feedback and helping us get it cleaned up ASAP. This isn't an official announcement obvs because it's in suggestions and it's also like a month late whatever, fight me. Instead this is more of a group brainstorming session, because I'm sure, as you know, more skin changes are inbound.
SO, here is where I would love for us to throw in our ideas. We have time (i'm thinking our next skin may be a winter themed one, because yay seasons) so we might as well use it. Just list in here things you like, things you don't like, things you've seen around that would be cool to see here. Between Wade and myself, we can pretty well figure out anything code-wise, so nothing is out of the question. If someone else has said things you like/agree with, like their post! That way we know where the majority opinion lies.

I don't know how people would feel about different hover sizes, seeing as we have so many characters with the current ones. I, personally, would find it a pain in the ass but that's my opinion, others need to say theirs.
Naw see this is my dilemma, it would just generally be a bit of a hassle to switch graphic sizes but it's also been two years since the dimensions have been changed. So on one hand I'm going "if it ain't broke don't fix it" but on the other "is it starting to feel stagnant?"

Stagnant, maybe, but I'm on the side of if it's not broken then don't fix it.
However, if we are wanting some change graphic wise, maybe change the avatar sizes? I feel like it'd be easier to change those sizes (in my mind's eye) and I was thinking that if we had square avatars, we could have the cool avatar online list. I quite like the looks of those, but maybe I'm the only one.
But again, even with the online list being icon avatars, we could still have the old avatars. Just create another custom field for them in personal and have our avatars as icons.
I likey this skin just how it is, especially with the cbox in the sidebar rather than at the bottom of the screen. Basically I like being able to see the cbox at all times XD As for the graphics, I don't mind change, after all they say a change is as good as a rest, but I'll go with the majority vote on that score. I don't actually have anything worthwhile to contribute, I just wanted to say something XD

as an aside, would we be okay is the chatbox was a click-to-toggle on the side? or a hover? Like it would be hidden unless you clicked a button or hovered over a button?
I like not being able to be distracted by the cbox when posting, so something where its hidden sounds lovely. but the rest of that resizy stuff sounds like effort, so I'ma have to say the nay-no mah brutha, leave them images alone.
We can fo def do click to toggle, then folks can choose whether it's displayed or not.
I'm thinking about shoving just about everything extra-info wise in a hover bar that is fixed at the top of the screen, if people are interested in discussing that/want to know what I mean I can scribble up a mockup.
Otherwise how do we feel about board layouts? Do we prefer stacked lists or side by side? Do we like the subboard layouts/ have any ideas for effects/hovers/cool things you want to see?

Everything being in a hover bar works for me, though would it be the same thing as the "Home, Profile, Members" bar we have right now? I'm not even sure if that's possible but I'm just wondering. I have also always liked the idea of hover banners, obviously, like the way we have the otms right now. So if you need a back up idea, maybe shove everything under there?
As for boards, I'm not too fussed. I like side by side ones, and maybe it might be better seeing as we have so many boards? So there's not as much scrolling? I like being able to pick a specific sub board as well withough having to go into the board, like we have to the side right now.
still up for the idea of having those square avatars for an online list but if no one else wants it thats cool too
looking at our boards we have a good amount of categories with four boards, maybe we could do four side-by-side boards per row? it would shorten the length of the forum like you wouldn't believe tho.
But do we prefer stacked boards or side-by-side boards? I'm down with either //searches out more input
