Hello friends and welcome to 2018!
We're starting this year off with a fresh new, custom coded skin by yours truly - featuring REAPERPOOL! I know it's a bit of a DRASTIC CHANGE, we've lived so long in the dark and now here we go, bein' all bright and soft and gentle. Don't worry, if adjusting to the colours drains the actual life out of you, put up with it for a few months. This time around I've coded for us our own custom colour palette and wove it in with all our CSS. IN ENGLISH THAT MEANS IT'S NOW EASIER THAN EVER TO RECOLOUR OUR SKINS. LIKE LAUGHABLY EASY. ANY OF YOU COULD DO IT. MAYBE ONE DAY SOMEONE CAN TRY, JUST FOR FUN TIMES.
But in addition to a brand spankin' new colour scheme on the opposite side of the planet from what we're all used to, you'll be quick to notice there are some other new changes. Some won't require you to do anything but get fuCKIN USED to EM, but some of them are gonna require some work from you guys. This li'l post here is meant to point out some of the more major changes you should all be aware of, as well as introduce you to some minor tweaks you may or may not care about but I want you to notice. Bitches.
FIRST OF ALL, THE SHIT YOU ALL NEED TO WORRY ABOUT.
This is it, coded by our very own REAPERPOOL, and YES it has new things AND YES Y'ALL AREN'T THE BIGGEST FANS OF CHANGE but LOOK HOW COOL THIS SHIT IS. It will require new HOVER IMAGES @ 250 WIDTH by 400 HEIGHT, new AVATARS @ 150 WIDTH by 150 HEIGHT as well as a brand spankin' new GIF LINK @ 230 WIDTH by 100 HEIGHT .
It consists of all the usual fields from our old mini profiles, but you'll notice when you're editing your profile information that there are a few extra fields not shown in the miniprofile. That comes into play in the PROFILE PAGE. Go on and look at it because i'm too lazy to grab a picture but rest assURED IT IS ALSO BEAUTIFUL, and gives y'all an opportunity to include little blurbs about your beautiful assholes. Or just do whatever it is you crazy kids do with empty space these days
LOOKIT IT. Look at all the fancy compact things. It may look overwhelming, but I promise you - IT WAS ONCE GOING TO BE MUCH MORE OVERWHELMING. But I will walk y'all through it, no problem, just hold onto your butts and away we go.
This here is our NEW AND IMPROVED nav bar. Look, BUTTONS! For those of you who are scared of pressing the buttons, they represent, IN ORDER FROM LEFT TO RIGHT: THE HOME PAGE, THE SEARCH PAGE (Top half of a raichu!) THE MEMBERS PAGE, RECENTLY UPDATED POSTS.
THESE are your PERSONAL NAV BUTTONS. Unless you are an admin, the one on the left is FOR YOUR PROFILE, the one on the right is for YOUR MESSAGES. The middle one is the key to the insides. If you really want it I mean, I can make it happen, but I promise you the insides are not flattering. I leave SUCH a mess EVERYWHERE.
THESE ARE THE PRIMARY HOTLINKS. Stuff that should matter to everyone, guests included. It's the same series of links that was in our old top bar, fun and important stuff.
THESE ARE THE SECONDARY HOTLINKS and will link people to our chatboxes as well as extra lil fun shit that may not be available to guests n shit, like our resources board, dev boards, whateverman y'all can fucking read.
Almost all of our basic info, OTMs and Staff buttons are now found WITHIN the BANNER. FANCY. Also, as I'm sure you all have already noticed, there is also our updates/announcements shoutbox found over yonder, on the right side. Hopefully NONE OF YOU WILL MISS ANY UPDATES NOW. Not that I really think you ever did but now look, it's right there, not hidden away, waiting to be noticed.
YOU MAY ALSO NOTICE that now our stats table is ABOVE the boards (which have had no more of a change than a slight size reduction, because small and compact is thE NAME OF THE GAME). It's been shaved down to include the essentials, and our new USERS ACTIVE list works on a 24 hour clock. If a user is ONLINE NOW, their avatar will be displayed in full colour. If they've been online in the last 24 hours but aren't online currently, their avatar will be displayed in grayscale. NEAT, RIGHT? RIGHT? VALIDATE MY EFFORTS WITH PRAISE.
BUT HONESTLY those are all the things that got the most hardcore of makeovers, if you all have any questions, concerns or notice any bugs, hit up our coders and we'll try and solve the problem. Please bear with us as with any new skin, it does take some time to settle into comfortably and bug-free, but before long it'll all be the norm again and we'll forget what the old skin even looked like.
