In the present day, supernatural creatures have revealed their existance and struggle for acceptance. Supernaturals from all over the world flock to the UK for the basic rights and freedoms all should be allowed. As a result, the British countries have become forerunners in adjusting to a world where creatures of myth live like anybody else, with much of Europe slowly attempting to follow in their footsteps.

He will do just about anything for those that he cares for, anything for those he loves. If you ever need someone in your corner, he is there. He will always be there and he is remarkably hard to run off.
FAMILY ORIENTED - He's always wanted a family. He will do anything for family and family is the most important thing to him. Despite everything he's been through, he still does want a family of his own someday.
WISE - He is wise even beyond his years. A lot of this comes from his own experiences but there is some of it that comes from what he is - who he is. He is someone who will often trust his gut above all else in most situations.
EMOTIONAL - Buck is very emotional and it is difficult for him to keep those emotions in check all the time. He feels those emotions very vividly and sometimes they run away with him. He sometimes lets them.
DRIVEN - Once he sets his mind to something, he will get it done. It rarely matters how difficult that thing is, he is driven to a fault to see it through. He wants to be bettering himself or doing things and hates feeling stagnant.
BRAVE - He is not scared of anything, not really. Nothing he'd ever really admit to most people. Buck will throw himself at anything to protect those around him and he doesn't run from much.
HONEST - It most cases, he will be honest. Even if it hurts. In most cases.
UNTRUSTING - He is incredibly slow to trust. This is something that was taught to him from a very young age for a very specific reason.
CONFIDENT - Buck trusts and has faith in very little, but he is confident in himself and his ability to do what he needs to do. He is confident and sure in most things that he does.
TERRITORIAL - The were does not like people getting too close to things or places or people that he sees as his.
INTROVERTED - Buck is quiet and tends to keep to himself. He doesn't like crowds or busy cities and prefers being somewhere quieter and closer to nature.

[attr="class","basicinfoappnotbold"]Buck was born of what might seem like strange circumstances, but it was very normal - very expected - for his parents. Buck was meant to be a reincarnation of a recently deceased - distant - relative. Whether or not that's true is hard to say, but Buck has always been wise for his age. He was often called an old soul from a very young age. He was brought up as any normal child might with a few exceptions. He was in training to become a hunter from a very young age as his entire bloodline had been as far back as any of the living members could remember. Buck would start noticing his 'intuition' - as his family called it - when he was very young. It was what most might feel as gut instinct, but Buck's was said to be more than just that. It was said to be the guidance of that reincarnated soul. He also had very vivid dreams about people he didn't know - something else his family told him was because of that soul. Buck wondered why no one else had this in his family despite having the same blood he did. His father explained that only one of those reincarnations could be alive at once, but they would always be from his family's blessed bloodline.
Buck was always very big for his age and this didn't change as he grew into an adult. Buck was also being groomed to become the alpha of his family's pack, but he was very against this idea because he didn't want to be tied down. He was still young and wanted to go out and see the world. He left when he was young with his father's blessing. He stayed away for a long time, drifting in and out to reconnect with family every few years before he'd disappear again. He learned a lot in his time away and when he finally felt ready to settle, he came home. Their pack had grown in a lot of ways and as always, Buck had new people to meet.
One of those people was a young woman named Esmeralda Merlotti. He was drawn in first by her looks, but it didn't take him long to learn that there was a lot more to her than just a pretty face. The two were close friends for a while before they decided to date and during this time, Buck was taking on more and more responsibility as an alpha. Things were peaceful for a long while, the pack was prospering, and he and Ezzie settled into a life together. They got married, were talking about kids, and everything seemed fine.
And then one day it wasn't anymore.
There was an attack by someone Buck had never met, but his parent's recognized him as soon as he showed up. There was a dark side to this blessing, apparently, there'd been a demon competing with the angel that had blessed his pack all those many, many centuries ago. That fight had ended in a compromise - one of those blessed children would instead be born with a curse. Buck's brother had been born with that curse and sent away before Buck ever even knew he existed as soon as his parents had recognized the signs of that curse. Buck's brother had come back with a demon to 'get his revenge' for being abandoned. By the time Buck had gotten his brother under control, demons had come to snuff out the rest of the pack. All except Ezzie.
When the dust settled, only Buck and Ezzie were left. His brother was gone, the demons were gone, and the pair were left alone. Ezzie would leave Buck and he would let her go while he stayed behind to try and fight the Purge overtaking the US and track down his brother. Eventually he would have to leave and a mutual friend told him where he could probably find Ezzie and so off he went to find his ex-wife. He's tracked his brother down every lead he could find, but every trail runs cold. He's quietly hoping he's dead, but he doubts that he is. He assumes it will only be a matter of time before he shows up again.

[attr="class","basicinfoappnotbold"]» Blessed Bloodline --/ Buck's bloodline was blessed centuries ago by an angel and this blessing manifests in his blood. It is largely unpleasant to vampires in taste, but it can be used for healing and brewing more potent potions. As a result of this bloodline, Buck is no stronger, but he does heal a little faster. His blood is also said to hurt demons if injected into their veins, but unpure blood injected into his veins also makes him very ill. His blood glows and smells a little different than normal were's blood might. Buck also feels almost compelled to help those pure and good in need as a result of this blessing, it is difficult for him to turn away.
» Shifting --/ Weres have the ability to shift into their animal forms at any time, but this usually is limited to the more seasoned weres. Youngsters must learn to control the shift through practice and careful instruction. No were is immune from full moon shifts, no matter how old. These shifts last for twenty-four hours and often during this time weres are drawn to the woods more than usual. Shifting is an incredibly painful process, however, as a were gets more acquainted with shifting the pain becomes more and more tolerable.
» Inhuman Strength --/ Weres are stronger than humans. They possess an inhuman amount of strength which makes them a formidable foe against the other supernaturals lurking about. This strength also makes them stronger than their natural animal counterparts. Weres will also have strengths resembling those of their animal. Bears would be better at wrestling, throwing their weight around to knock their idiot wolf sons on their ass, while a rabbit would be more reliant on their speed and strong legs. Think about it like a WWE wrestler (bear) vs. an MMA fighter (rabbit).
» Inhuman Speed and Stamina --/ Weres are also incredibly fast. The type of were largely affects the type of speed. Cats = short bursts. Wolfs/Canines = Endurance. Penguins/Sea creatures = Fast swimmers. In human form they all get an inhuman speed boost, just depends what kind of boost based on the animal.
» Animal Senses --/ Weres carry benefits from their animal form over into the human form. This normally means heightened senses and that weird animal awareness to emotions and sickness. Smell, sight, hearing, all of those things. Some even have heightened awareness, much like an animal being able to sense when a storm is coming, weres are really good at picking up energies like animals. This is not a psychic ability, more like a gut or instinctual feeling. Weres posses senses that are on par, if not a little bit better, than those of the vampires. In most cases it is the case that their senses are better. Weres have such a strong sense of smell that they can actually pick up on smells of the different supernatural species.
» Long Lifespan --/ Most weres live on average of about 700 years. The aging process slows and most look incredibly young way into the hundreds. They often stay relatively young acting and young physically until close to death. The aging process seems to accelerate once the were hits about 550, give or take a decade, but it is by no means a rapid decline. Just a dulling of the senses, slower speeds, and those types of things. The older a were gets, the larger their animal form gets as well. This typically continues until the physical decline and death.
» Regenerative Abilities --/ With great power comes a pretty nifty healing package. Weres can heal at inhuman speeds, and are even said to possess regeneration abilities, the more serious the wound, the more time it takes to heal. Shifting whilst suffering from a serious injury can often disrupt the healing process and slow it down drastically even after the shift. If possible it’s best to wait until the wound is mostly healed before shifting. Minor injuries are usually a non issue with shifting.
