WHO IS SHE?

[attr="class","llamascroll"]Zhenya "Zee" Nero is an old phoenix who was, quite literally, a pain in the ass for the Roman Empire. She's still a badass to this day as she is second-in-command of the Seafire Pirates, right under Logan Graeme. She's aloof, clever, and will never let her feelings get a hold of her if she can help it.

BACKSTORY

He's got old time religion

[attr="class","llamascroll"]Zee has a very long history that few know even a portion of. She was born outside the empire of Carthage back in the good ole' B.C. days. Her father died fighting in the Punic Wars and her mother fled with little Zee in tow. They were captured by a rogue band and, to keep things short, Zee watched her mother get decapitated before she burned the entire damn village to the ground. As a young teenager, this was not entirely great for her developing psyche. 

From there she raised total havoc on the weakening Roman empire. She targeted the outlying villages and hit supply lines, sabotaged army outposts, and took out individual soldiers by the dozen a night. While the Romans were already on the verge of collapse, it's quite likely that her help pushed them right off the edge. After her work there was settled, she melted into the folds of time and wasn't seen for years.

Until, of course, she resurfaced as a merchant sailor in the Indian Ocean. From there she was picked up by pirates and fell into their line of work instead. Being the steadfast piece of work she was, she never allowed others to bully her into submission because of her gender. She worked hard and thought fast. In the late 1700's she boarded the ship that would soon become the Seafire and befriended Logan Graeme. She was with him until he burned the ship, then she disappeared to start her own ship, the Defiance. This was a sweet period of 10 years until the American navy destroyed her ship. She went down with it and disappeared.

This time, when she reappeared, she was part of the huge fleet of ships ruled by Ching Shih. She served as a captain under her, in charge of her own ship. From there she stuck around until Ching Shih made an agreement with the Chinese government to break up her massive forces. Zee retreated to the Americas and became, among other things, a straight up western cowgirl.

In 2013 she was found by Logan and Graeme and agreed to resume her second-in-command position of his new underground trading empire. In London, she has a booming catering business as a day job and works as a pirate and a mercenary for Evigalina's OMNI force.
